Currently Abroad?

Students who are currently abroad on an ISU study abroad program often need quick access to a wide variety of information to help them during their time abroad. The following is the most commonly requested information:

Registering for Illinois State Classes While Abroad

ISU students who are currently abroad have the added challenge of trying to register for ISU classes for their return semester while in another country. Luckily, the iCampus portal makes this very easy.

On the iCampus portal, students will be able to access their registration date, find a course schedule, check their progress toward degree, and register for their courses.  Students who need overrides for their courses should contact their advisor by email.

Before going abroad, all students should meet with their advisors to discuss their plan of study and determine their course schedule for their return semester.

Reentry Information

Returning from a study abroad program can be just as stressful as leaving for one. If you are a returning student, and you would like assistance in your transition back into ISU and US culture, please contact the Study Abroad Office at (309) 438-5276.

One of the best ways to help the reentry process is to talk about your experience with other students. Luckily, there are lots of ISU student who are eager to hear about your experience, many because they are planning to go as well. Please help these students, and yourself, by becoming a Study Abroad Past Participant. Just call the Study Abroad Office at (309) 438-5276 and we'll add you to our Past Participant list!
