Some international students attend Illinois State as "exchange students." Typically, an exchange student is an international visitor who studies abroad as part of an official agreement between his university and one in another country.
Illinois State University's International Studies Office is pleased to coordinate agreements to facilitate international exchanges. Students involved in exchange programs, either as outgoing ISU students, or incoming international students, receive a tuition waiver (payment of their tuition) and are abroad for a summer, or one or two semesters.
Incoming International students interested in doing an exchange at Illinois State must make sure that their university is already an exchange partner with ISU. You may view a list of participating universities by visiting the Linkage Agreement List. Official international agreements and memoranda of understanding are also available for review at the Office of International Studies and Programs, Fell Hall 308.
Universities who have students interested in doing an exchange at ISU may contact , who is the primary advisor for exchange students. If you represent a school with which we do not already have an exchange agreement, please contact Jimmy Brazelton who is responsible for exchange agreements and balances.
